Welcome to the Hilditch Project

This site is dedicated to the family and friends of Louise A. Hilditch who was born 12 August 1928 and died 28 December 1999. She was a devoted family historian and researched an estimated 350,000 names. This site provides access to thousands of her documents, charts and family groups which have been scanned and arranged by family name. To see if she has done research on your family, check if your family name is in the list below. Clicking on the name will give you access to a directory containing all of the documents pertaining to that name.

A few words about the files: Most of the documents are family group sheets, but there are also pages that reflect her sources. As each page was scanned, a file name was chosen based on the father's family name where possible. When there were a number of people with the same name, the birth, death or marriage year was added to the file name. When there was no date or the dates were the same, the wife's first name was added where available. When two of more files could not be distinguished in any other way, a number or letter was added to the file name. When a file name contains the word "back" the file shows the back side of the page with the same file name. For privacy reasons, an effort has been made to remove documents that contain information about living people.
